Greenberry's Coffee Mug Charity Campaign Gets Underway

Is doing something extra for the less fortunate your cup of tea? Well, at Greenberry's, it can be your cup of coffee. From January to spring, we will donate 20% of our coffee mug proceeds to the American Red Cross. And to say thank you, we'll throw in a free cup of coffee of your choice with each $9.99 mug purchase.
We recognize the importance that you, the public, play in making Greenberry's successful franchise. Our customers don't just to share good times over coffee. They share good ideas as well. Did you to know the coffee mug charity concept originated from a group of Greenberrys regulars at our Wayne, NJ store?
One day, a bunch of buddies came in for coffee, and talked about organizing a petition to stop an unpopular housing proposal. By chance, they got on the topic of what Greenberry's does to aid the community. This led to a conversation about the various ways a coffee franchise can help those in need.
The discussion produced many ideas, including donating coffee mug sales proceeds to a worthy cause. One of the group's members e-mailed a list of suggestions to Greenberry's corporate headquarters in Charlottesville, VA. One thing lead to another, and voila! The coffee mug charity drive became reality.
So, we can't help wondering what other inspirations our customers have. So don't be  shy. When you come to Greenberry's, please feel free to try out not only our coffee, but also your views at making our customer and community service better.

Try a French Press And You'll Be Impressed!

Looking for a hearty taste of java? If you come to Greenberry's, do yourself a favor and try a French press coffee. What's special about the French Press is that extra time and steps are taken to bring out that extra coffee flavor. The kind of gusto that has you tongue telling you, "This is good coffee."
The French press preparation process entails placing coffee and water in a cylinder and stirring. The coffee is left to brew for a few minutes. A circular lid is pressed down to trap the coffee grounds at the bottom of the cylinder. This technique of placing the grounds in direct contact with the water produces robust coffee quality.
No text description of the French press conveys the essence of this coffee. You really have to experience it for yourself. So why not click on the video below? Get a taste of what French press is all about. It will definitely get you in the coffee drinking mood. At Greenberry's, you can prder the French press from a variety of coffee blends.

At Greenberry's, you can try the French Press with any of our bulk coffees. Just some of the choices are Arabian Mocha, Jakarta, House, Viennesse, and Morning blends. Each coffee has its own distinct character, which the French Press brings to life even more. Try it. You'll like it. For a few dollars per cup, you'll get more coffee body for your money.

Greenberry's aroma is brewing

Happy New Year! I hope you and your loved ones had a wonderful Holiday Season. I also hope you all are starting off 2012 on a high note. That's definitely the case at Greenberry's. For those of you who don't know about us, we're a coffee and tea franchise with 14 locations, mostly in Virgina. We do have two stores in Northern New Jersey and one in New Orleans. Come check us out sometime at www.greenberrys.com
We offer more than 30 specialty coffees and 18 types of tea. Of course, we sell sweets and light meals. But we made our name on our hand roasted coffees, which are shipped fresh to each of our stores regularly.
The big news this year at Greenberry's is that where we are debuting our first ever coffee blog: From The Brim Of The Cup. Of course, some of you are wondering, what's so special about a blog about coffee?
Well, this forum isn't just about coffee. It's about all those folsky stories behind coffee. It's all about the social good that Greenberry's visitors enjoy while enjoying a cup of brew. We want more people  - seniors, young ones, and everyone in between - to get a good idea of what Greenberry's is like. After all, if you like what you see of us online, you'll be hankering for a taste of us off-line. And remember, even if you don't live near a Greenberry's, you can shop for our coffee products on our website.
Quality java and a friendly ambiance set the stage for good times, which come in all shapes and sizes. It could be a group of friends winding down over caffee late. It could be someone meeting a new person over capuccino. It can even be a chance encounter that leads to another job, love interest, long lost pal discovery or club membership invitation. The list can go on and on.   And we can't tell you how many times customers seeking coffee wound up walking in on one of our entertainment nights, and walking out with big smiles on their faces. After all, happy times makes having a cup of coffee a much more savory experience.
Greenberry's is not just a cafe. It's a home away from home. You get the kind of laid back feeling you get from the Waylon Jenning's hit Luckenbach, Texas.  The big difference is that you can enjoy it far longer than just a few minutes.
So, take some time and drop in to Greenberry's. Once you come in, you'll be coming again. By the way, if you got a Greenberry's coffee chronicle of your own, don't keep it a secret. Tell us your experience by e-mailing fromthebrimofthecup@greenberrys.com. Who's knows. Maybe your good news will be percolating on From The Brim Of The Cup.
